Welcome to Salford's photographic image library
The image library is a unique catalogue of high quality images covering all areas of life in Salford. This resource is available to use to download images for a wide range of print or web projects.
To use the image library, you must first register by following the link on the left and completing the form.
How to search for images
- Enter a word in the 'Keyword Search' box and click 'Search'.
- For more advanced searches enter more words to narrow your search.
How to select images
- Once you have entered your keywords and pressed 'Search', you will be presented with a variety of images matching your search criteria.
- Click on 'Preview Asset' to find out more information about the image.
- To select an image to order, click 'Add to Basket'. This will place the chosen image in a 'basket' in preparation to make an order. You can add as many images as required to your basket.
- To view the images you have chosen click 'My Basket'.
How to order images
- To download images you must order your basket by submitting it to the administrator.
- First name and save your basket by filling in the 'Save Basket As' field and clicking on 'Save'.
- Click on 'Order this Basket'.
- You must add 'Usage Comments', explaining what you intend to use the images for, so the administrator can determine if an order can be approved.
- The administrator will check the order and then send you an email granting approval or not to download the basket.
How to download images
- Click on 'My Orders' to view the status of your basket. Once approval has been granted, (indicated by the green circle on the left) the user can download the images.
- Click 'Download' and the images can be saved to your computer.
